Ash Tyndall

Ash is a principal software engineer who designs, builds and scales SaaS platforms from early architecture through to large scale production systems. His expertise lies in transforming complex business problems into stable commercial outcomes, spanning executive leadership, technical strategy, security, and reliability on modern cloud platforms.

Ash has 15 years of professional software development experience and has worked across a range of successful startups and private clients, leading complex cloud platforms from early architecture through to large scale production systems.

Ash is currently the Founding Engineer at Auggie, where he is co-designing and delivering an AI-driven conversational booking platform for dental clinics. Working closely with the founding team, he is building systems that integrate with Practice Management Systems to identify unused appointment capacity, reconnect overdue patients, and guide bookings through intelligent two-way messaging. His work spans LLM orchestration, workflow reliability, large-scale integrations, and production-grade cloud infrastructure.

Previously, he was CTO at TidyHQ, where he led engineering strategy, hiring, and budget management while remaining deeply hands-on across the company's most complex technical initiatives. Earlier, he led the cloud battery management platform at Switch Batteries, and worked at Appbot, where he oversaw major AWS cloud modernisation projects, built next generation natural language analysis systems, and delivered high performance features used by customers including X.com, Microsoft, BMW, and Deutsche Bank.
